Standard 5: Program Management and Administration
Candidates plan, develop, implement, and evaluate school library programs, resources, and services in support of the mission of the library program within the school according to the ethics and principles of library science, education, management, and administration.
Personal Philosophy: The library resources and program should be evaluated on a regular basis, as well as edited or revamped whenever necessary. The mission of the library program should be supported when planning or developing the curriculum. The school library media specialist should refer to the district policies when working on weeding the library collection.
